Questions Your Descriptions Must Answer!

A customer is more likely to buy something when all their questions have been answered. Since most people will just click to the next store instead of taking the time to email you, it's best to make sure your descriptions aren't vague. Some questions won't apply to some items :)

  1. What is it? If it's a photo-- what is the photo of, where did you take it?
  2. How big is it?
  3. How much does it cost?
  4. If it's wearable - what size, how do I know it'll fit?
  5. Am I getting everying in the photo? (if it's a pendant, do I get the chain? Are some items in the photo just props?)
  6. Am I getting the exact one pictured or is it made to order?
  7. Does it need special care - is it fragile?
  8. What is it made from?
  9. What special techniques did you use to make it?
  10. What's that jargon mean? (what's the difference between gold fill or plated?)
  11. What's the history of it, the techniques, etc.?
  12. Why would this make a great gift?
  13. Can I get it gift wrapped?
  14. If I want it in a different color/size, can I get that?

  15. Corrnucopia has a list of various ways this vintage rack could be used.
    How does it work? Are there buttons, clasps, ties etc.?
  16. What does it feel/smell/look like?
  17. Does it come from a smoke-free home?
  18. Are there any special features that distinguish this from others?
  19. Who would this be good for (is it suitable for kids? would it make a great gift for a writer, doctor, etc.?)
  20. Is this the original or a copy (ie, is it the original artwork or a print?)
  21. Is this one of a kind, or are others available?
  22. How much does it weigh?
  23. Is it ready to use, does it need assembly, a frame, chain, etc.?
  24. What inspired you to create this?
  25. Why do I NEED it? (They probably can live without it; but why would it make their life happier/warmer/more fashionable/easier?)
