Make
Horse Tail Bookmarks!

Be creative and make your own pretty horse tail bookmarks using a 3X5 card, pencils, and yarn!
You
Will Need:
* 3x5 Card, or any
other thick paper cut to bookmark size (Leftover cardstock scraps work
great!)
* Drawing materials; Pencils, pens, crayons, markers, etc.
* A hole punch
*Scissors
* Yarn, twine, or ribbon (again, perfect way to reuse scraps)
Craft Directions:
Sketch a horse & tail from the rear on your card with a pencil. Make
sure the tail is wide enough to have a yarn tail later.
Once you're happy with the design, darken the outlines and color the horse and tail with crayons, pencils, or markers. Color the tail the same color as your yarn so it will blend.
Use your paper punch to cut 3 holes in the tail. Make sure they aren't
too close to the edge of the paper or each other or the yarn may rip out.
Cut some lengths of
yarn (I used about 6 strings for each hole) and run them through the holes.
It's OK if they are too long and uneven, you'll trim them later.
Now, tie another piece
of yarn around the tail you made. This will help keep it all together.
You can use a different color and tie it in a double-knotted bow.
Cut off the ends of the tail to make it even.
Now you're done! You can draw horses, ponies, unicorns, etc. and make
these tail bookmarks!
